Why am I getting paper jam error message on the display, you need to identify where the paper is jammed?

Each paper jam error messages will help you locate jammed paper:

1. PAPER JAM 0: In the feed area

2. PAPER JAM 1: In the fuser area

3. PAPER JAM 2: In the paper exit area

CLEARING PAPER JAM:

PAPER JAM O:

1. Open and close front cover

2. Pull the paper tray out

3. Remove the jammed paper

4. Insert the paper tray back in

PAPER JAM 1:

1. Open the front cover and pull the toner cartridge out

2. Remove the jammed paper straight out

3. Install the toner cartridge back in and close the cover 

PAPER JAM 2:

1. Gently pull the paper from the output tray

2. If there is any resistance, oper the rear cover

3. Gently pull the paper from the back 

If error message does not go away after removing jammed paper, check the paper sensor in the back of the machine.

Why do I have a VERTICAL LINE in the middle of the page when I make a copy or fax?

Clean both Automatic Document Feeder glass (ADF glass) and Document Glass with paper towel.

Accumulation of white correction fluid (residual) used on documents causes a line when using Automatic Document Feeder.  ADF glass needs to be cleaned.

Does TEMPERATURE affect my equipment?

YES!!  Equipment must be kept inside a room at 78 degrees temperature otherwise toner and drum will generate problems.  There are many factors that determine the actual toner, drum and copier life; temperature, humidity, type of paper, type of toner used (OEM or recharged, if available, recommended).  For best performance, use only genuine SAMSUNG supplies.  The Copier/Printer should be used only in a clean, dust-free environment with adequate ventilation.
